One of the unmissable ones is the Miami Beach Boardwalk which stretches for more than seven miles along the whole length of the island. From South Point Park on South Beach and all the way up to the northern border of Surfside, you can enjoy the scenery along the easy path and stop whenever you want for a refreshing swim on the beach!

13. Dive Into The Lagoon-Like Venetian Pool
The Venetian Pool, a little bit south of Miami City in Coral Gables, is an incredible one-of-a-kind facility that opened in 1923 in a former rock quarry 100 years ago!
With clear blue water in a lagoon-like pool carved out from coral rock, it has little stone bridges and drizzling waters scattered around. An incredible place if you like the idea of immersing in untreated natural freshwater in a beautiful environment, where there are also modern amenities at your fingertips.
An underground aquifer keeps filling the pools with fresh spring water, and in the pool area, there are two waterfall caves and a grotto to swim through and explore!
On the grounds, there is a café with light meals and snacks to get you out of the oasis to recharge, including a large variety of ice creams!

The Poppet Project on Biscayne Boulevard is a drop-in children’s art, craft, and science studio providing a creative environment where kids can unleash their imagination and design and explore their creativity.
On-site, there is an open studio where everyone is welcome to embrace their aspiring inner artist.
Kids can work independently or with their parents, and activities range from painting a plexi wall, easels, and making jewelry to open crafting and a magnet wall. And every twenty minutes starts, a fun and messy slime-producing workshop!

Miami Flamingo Garden is just a few years short of celebrating 100 years. Founded in 1927 as an orange grove, the Flamingo Garden today has one of the most extensive collections of cycads, orchids, heliconias & gingers in the US.

Animals that cannot be released in the wild for various reasons live in the sanctuary, so if you visit, you can meet creatures like bobcats, eagles, otters, panthers, colorful parrots, alligators, and, naturally, flamingos!
One of the inhabitants in the rescue center you can meet is Josh the Bear, a kind and social black bear who has been living here since 2013. Even before you enter the Wynwood Walls art center, there are intricate and everchanging street art scenes for several blocks on most buildings and walls. Some are small, colorful, and daring, while others are large, dreamy, and with a message to the world.
The interesting thing about Wynwood street art is that it can change overnight. Inside the art center, you have several exhibitions with distinctly different ambiances, both indoor and outdoor, as well as sculptures and interactive mind-deceiving pieces!
In Wynwood, there are also a plethora of cafes and restaurants to visit, so you can combine your street art adventure with great food or even embark on a combined food and art tour to get the best of both worlds!
Miami is simply an incredible destination for kids of all ages, with so much to do and explore within nature, city life, art, marine life, the vast ocean, and even jungle adventures.
There are few other places in the US where you can find the same mix of stunning beaches and water activities, wildlife, and nature reserves combined with the year-round friendly temperature making this a perfect destination for outdoor activities (except for maybe sizzling hot July).
